Formed back in February 1997 Cronaxia has been in the Portuguese underground side by side with other death metal acts for over 2 decades. Playing at several events over the years and always struggling to find the right musicians to solidify their sound and complete line-up.
By mid 2010 CRONAXIA decided it was time to start putting together a full-length album but another turnaround led the departure of long time drummer Maia.
2018 brings the long-waited «Collapsing The Outer Structure» debut album of very experienced musicians. CRONAXIA is now a trio consisting of Sérgio (vocals), Renato (guitar) and Filipe (guitar). Album recordings received two sessions musicians Rolando Barros (former The Firstborn, Neoplasmah, Grog) and Alex Ribeiro (Grog, Neoplasmah, Earth Electric) to handle the drums and bass guitar. Mixed and mastered by Paulo "Paulão" Vieira (ex-The Firsborn, Perpetratör) known producer on albums from bands like Ironsword, Filii Nigrantium Infernalium, Ravensire, Perpetratör..
